Tentative Agreement!
As you prepare for this long "Family Day Weekend", we are pleased to advise you that your local Bargaining Team reached a "Tentative Agreement" between the CDSBEO and the Permanent Teachers. The agreement came yesterday afternoon, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the "Collective Bargaining Committee" for the hours and hours they spent putting together our "Initial Proposal" and for the "Negotiating Team" for their success in being able to reach this tentative agreement.
The Collective Bargaining Committee members included, Yvonne Bakker, Barb Dobrowolski, Dale Fobert, Mike Hamilton, Penny Huntley, Jim Roy and Kristy Tait-Angel.
From the committee, Barb Dobrowolski (Chief Negotiator), with Dale Fobert, Mike Hamilton, Jim Roy, Kristy Tait-Angel and our provincial OECTA liaison, Mike Ennette formed the negotiating team.

Information Meeting
There will be an "Information Meeting" in the very near future, where the details of the local agreement will be shared with the permanent teachers in our unit. After members have had an opportunity to get the details of the agreement, they will then vote on whether to accept or reject the proposal. Details of the meeting and voting will be shared as soon as they are available. We encourage all members to attend this important meeting in order to understand any changes to your working conditions.

Occasional Teachers
Occasional Teacher bargaining is done separately and will begin shortly with the Board. If you are an Occasional Teacher, you will be having a separate meeting after negotiations have been completed. The information contained in this newsletter is for permanent teachers only, so you need not attend.
