It is almost the fourth Sunday of Advent and the eve of Christ’s birth. We have many things to be thankful for at this time of year – warm and loving homes and families, good friends, and a loving God watching over us.
We must also take the time to remember those around us who may be experiencing poor health, the loss of a loved one, or burdens which may be made more bearable by a kind word, a kind deed and a prayer for comfort.
An e-mail Christmas card was received at the Unit Office this week which began with “Today … I wish you a day of ordinary miracles.” The miracles were an unexpected call from an old friend, a good sing-along song on the radio, or green stoplights on your way to work or shop. Pause and think of the ordinary miracles in your life.
Barb, Sandy and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May your holiday be filled with joy and laughter, and provide time for rest and rejuvenation with family and friends.
