Beginning Teachers Conference - OECTA: The Next Generation

The Annual Conference for Beginning Teachers, OECTA: The Next Generation, takes place February 7-9, 2008 at the Hilton Suites at the Markham Conference Centre and Spa. You will have the opportunity to meet other beginning teachers from across Ontario and participate in sessions about communicating with parents, NTIP, assessment, discipline, motivating students, OECTA and various social justice issues.

The Conference is open to all OECTA members in their first five years of teaching and priority will be given to teachers in their fifth year and teachers who will be attending the Conference for the first time.  The Eastern Unit has been allotted seven spaces for the conference and we encourage members to participate in this most successful conference.

If you are interested, contact the Unit Office before Friday November 9, 2007 so your names can be sent on to Toronto. After the 9th, names will be placed on a wait list and Provincial Office will determine participants on a first come first serve basis.
