Reminder and Request

A reminder that the staff rep in-service will be held next Tuesday September 28th, at Baxter Conservation Area from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm.

Please bring the supervision schedule for all teachers in your school. If there is a master schedule, we ask you bring it, or secure supervision assignments for all of your teachers. It is imperative that we have this schedule from all of our schools – please take the time to get this information.

QECO

Many teachers have taken courses either last spring or summer which would allow them to upgrade their QECO rating and grid placement. There are dates for informing the Board of a teacher’s application to QECO for upgrading which outlines the timelines to receive retroactive payment of salary to either May1st, September 1st or January 1st despite the time gap for securing the category change from QECO. When you send your notification from QECO to the Board office, include a copy of your transcript to ensure you are paid retroactive to May if you took a spring course, September if you took a summer course or January if you took a fall course.
