Summer Institutes

In response to all of the requests made from across the province and from our own unit, the Eastern Unit was allotted four Summer Institute courses by Provincial OECTA. The courses which will be offered in our region include:

E4: Drama for All – Grades 1 to 6
August 24, 25, 26, 2004
St. Joe’s CHS, Cornwall

E6: Setting up a well organized French Program Grades 1 to 8
July 12, 13, 14, 2004
St. Joe’s CHS, Cornwall

E9: Diversity in the Middle: Strategies for Balanced Literacy Grades 4 to 8
August 17, 18, 19, 2004
St. Michael CHS, Kemptville

E 14: Math – Making it Fun and Developmentally Appropriate
Grades 1 to 6 August 23, 24, 25, 2004 Kemptville

Theses courses are organized and provided by teachers for teachers. They are free and lunches will be provided to all participants. Summer Institutes have been very successful and we encourage our teachers to participate in these and other PD activities. See FAXAGENDA for information about registration.
