Treasurer’s Report (Darryl Power)
Budget Assumptions
D.Power/P.Camacho - That the budget be based on a membership of 830 FTE members and fees generated for 149 FTE occasional teachers. CARRIED
D.Power/B.McGahey - That the Unit approve a balanced budget for 2006-2007.

Treasurer’s Report
D.Power/J.Soares - That the report of the Auditor be approved as presented.

D.Power/D.Fobert - That the draft budget be approved as presented. CARRIED
- $73,144.00 in excess for last year’s budget

compliments were given to our Secretary, Sandy on the efficiency of returning PD expense claims

levy discussions, importance of levy to the budget for the present and future; without levy, the 2005-06 budget surplus would have been approximately $10,000; five year plan for negotiations, to keep service to members at same level or increase, and for building/operations fund

Political Action will be important in Spring 2007 with upcoming Provincial Election; join the local committee

- Steve unable to attend, no report this month
Contract Update
- Article 4.04 & 4.05 Teacher Rights: freedom from harassment and assault

Article 6, QECO; if expecting a change in level and have not had a response from QECO, write to the Director with proof of application by December 22, 2006

OECTA Volleyball Tournament

seventy five to eighty people attended in Carleton Place on Friday, November 10, 2006; eight teams of teachers and staff

great time was had by all, winning team was Notre Dame CS, Carleton Place
