Eastern Unit has an Individual PD Fund for teachers attending conferences or PD workshops. Teachers are eligible to receive up to $200 for a conference or workshop. The PD fund does not provide assistance for University or AQ (Additional Qualification) courses. Download the application form and fax it to the Unit office at 613-258-0842.

The Executive grants individual PD funds at their monthly Executive meeting. Contact the Unit Office if you need any additional information about our Unit PD Fund.

Professional Development

Eastern Unit is a strong supporter of teacher professional development. Through Provincial Office, OECTA offers a wide variety of PD activities and programs for our members. Our unit has sponsored workshops in literacy, discipline, special education, math programs, and other pertinent workshops to meet the needs of members.

Teachers can choose from the following list of Provincial workshop/course offerings. Contact the Unit Office and workshops can be arranged for a school, group of schools or region of our Unit.
